Ka-Artehan: Parol-Making Workshop

  • SHIFT Space, Concordia University Library Building 1455 Boulevard De Maisonneuve Ouest Montreal, QC, H3G 1M8 Canada (map)

A parol is a craft resembling a star-shaped lantern. For Filipina/o/xs, making parols and hanging them outside their windows symbolize the victory of light over darkness as well as their shared expression of faith, hope, and goodwill during the holiday season.

We kindly ask for a minimum donation of $10. First-come first-served basis for the first 30 people to register for the parol making. We will send a confirmation email to the first 30 registrants. Everyone can still join, enjoy the festive vibes and food, and watch the creativity unfold without making a parol.
