'Beki, Bakla, Babae' will unpack the intricate history of evolving gender dynamics in the Philippines, including queer and trans resistance and women’s rights during colonial periods and ongoing imperial regimes. Through art and calligraphy, participants will explore the multifaceted experiences of bekis, baklas, and bababes and critically analyze their role in shaping the gender discourse in Philippine society.
This workshop will be facilitated by Pinay Collection and Makulay Atbp. in partnership with Centre Kapwa!
